Margaret Ann (Pell) Meeuwenberg

Mrs. Margaret Ann Meeuwenberg, age 84 of Fremont, went to be with her Lord & Savior on Saturday afternoon, July 4, 2020.  She was born on June 23, 1936 in Fremont, Michigan to Henry & Gertrude (Witte) Pell.  Margaret had been employed by Gerber Life and the Newaygo County ISD.  She had also owned & operated Midway Beauty Shop out of her home in Fremont.  Margaret volunteered at the Gerber Hospital Gift Shop and for Love Inc. of Newaygo County, and she was a member of First Christian Reformed Church in Fremont.  On February 10, 1955 she married Fred “Fritz” Meeuwenberg and he preceded her in death on September 25, 2015.  She was also preceded in death by her brother, Carl Pell; and by her brothers-in-law & sister-in-law:  Harold, Arvin, Melvin & Eunice, & Vernon Meeuwenberg.  Margaret is survived by 6 children:  Douglas (Deb) Meeuwenberg of Grant, Phil (Carol) Meeuwenberg of Fremont, Vicky (Don) Voogd of Grant, Tammy (Wayne) Cowley of Fremont, Mark Meeuwenberg of Newaygo, Mike Meeuwenberg of Fremont; daughters-in-law, Tammy & Jeanine Meeuwenberg; 22 grandchildren & 32 great grandchildren; 1 brother, Dale (Rhoda) Pell; sisters-in-law:  Connie Pell, Josephine Meeuwenberg, Esther Meeuwenberg, Ruth Meeuwenberg; and by many nieces & nephews.  Because of COVID-19 restrictions related to social distancing, the Funeral Service will be held outdoors at 9:00 AM on Thursday, July 9, 2020 at First Christian Reformed Church in Fremont with Rev. Drew Sweetman officiating.  You can bring your own lawn chair and sit outside, or you can remain in your car and listen on the church’s radio station 90.5 FM.  Masks are optional.  The service will also be livestreamed on the funeral home facebook page, and a recording of the service will be available to watch later on the funeral home website.  Interment will be at Maple Grove Cemetery in Fremont.  Suggested Memorials:  Wellspring Adult Day Services, or Love Inc of Newaygo County.  You can sign the online guest book at www.kroeze-wolffis.com.  Arrangements are by Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home, Inc. of Fremont.
