Margaret "Peggy" Wells

Mrs. Margaret “Peggy” Wells, age 73 years of Croton, passed away on Saturday morning, July 3, 2021 at Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids. She was born on November 4, 1947 in Grand Rapids, Michigan to Ralph and Helen (Brown) Feist. Peggy was the owner operator of the Backdoor Beauty Salon in Newaygo for 40 years. She enjoyed float trips down the river, dancing, live music, casino trips and bingo, but most of all, Peggy treasured her family. She worshipped at Bailey Christian Church. On November 1, 1968 she married Art Wells. He survives her, along with two sons: Troy (Allison) Wells, Dusten (Candy) Wells; six grandchildren: Paige (Tyler) Bachelor, Savannah Wells, Jasmine Wells, Sabastian Wells, Remington Wells, Kensington Wells; one great granddaughter: Ryleigh Bachelor; two brothers: Roger Feist, Edward (Cathy) Feist, and many nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, five siblings: Pat Bursley, Donna Pifer, Richard Feist, Lynette Neuman, Josephine Mock; she was also preceded in death by two step-fathers: Chuck Doyle & William Deckard. The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 10, 2021 at Bailey Christian Church with Pastor Daren Penwell officiating.  Visitation will also be at the church from 10-11 on Saturday.
