Marie Ellen (Blamer) Beattie

Marie Ellen Beattie, age 68 of Twin Lake, passed away on Friday evening, April 30, 2021 at Mercy Hospital in Muskegon.  She was born on September 2, 1952 in Fremont, Michigan to Glen & Norma (Jaunese) Blamer.  Marie was a Registered Nurse and had worked at Transitional Health Services in Fremont, and University Park in Muskegon.  She was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church in Brunswick.  Marie was artistic, and loved crafting.  She also enjoyed keeping Amazon in business, as well as keeping her boys and grandkids in line.  Marie was preceded in death by her grandson, Cameron Beattie; by her parents; and by her brother, Joey Syers.  On June 20, 1970 she married Garry Beattie and he survives her along with 3 sons:  Tony (Heather) Beattie, Timothy (Kirsten) Beattie, Troy Francis (Mandy) Beattie; 8 grandchildren & 5 ¾ great grandchildren.  She is also survived by her brothers & sisters:  John (Connie) Blamer, Judy (John) Jessen, Richard Blamer, & Kelly Dyer.  There will be a public time of visiting with the family at St Michael Catholic Church in Brunswick from 9:30 -10:45 AM on Thursday, May 6, 2021, followed by a Private Mass of Christian Burial for the family only at 11:00 AM.  The public is invited to join the family for the Graveside Service at St Michael Catholic Cemetery, just behind the church, immediately following the service, which should take place around 12:00 Noon.  A luncheon for family and friends will also follow the graveside service, and that will be held at the Holton American Legion Post, beginning around 1:00 PM on Thursday.  Suggested Memorial:  The Cameron Beattie Scholarship Fund at the Fremont Area Community Foundation (checks payable to the Fremont Area Community Foundation).  You can sign the online guest book at www.kroeze-wolffis.com.  Arrangements are by Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home, Inc. of Fremont.
