Marilyn Lois (Jones) Phillips

Marilyn Lois Phillips, age 74 of Fremont and formerly of Newaygo, went Home to be with her Savior on Sunday evening, April 16, 2023.  She was born on April 11, 1949 in Muskegon, Michigan to Wallace & Verna (Brant) Jones.  Marilyn was currently attending Harvest Fremont, and she was formerly a member of City Church Rockford.  She enjoyed gardening, writing, painting, & reading.  She had also been involved in Community Bible Study, and Friendship Bible Coffee.  On November 2, 1967 she married Hollis L. Phillips and he survives her along with 3 children:  Ginger (Chad) Callison of Fremont, Aaron (Brenda) Phillips of Grant, Joel (Karrie) Phillips of Fremont; 19 grandchildren & 2 great-grandchildren.  Marilyn is also survived by her sister & brothers:  Carol (David) VanderZee of Tennessee, Arnold (Nancy) Jones of Ada, Robert (Kathryn) Jones of Arizona, Nathan (Jeannie) Jones of Arizona; many nieces & nephews; aunt, Violet Sutton; uncle, Victor Brant; and by many cousins.  She was preceded in death by her  infant daughter Jody, and by her parents.  The Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, April 21, 2023 at Harvest Fremont with Pastor Dan Cook officiating.  Visitation will be at the Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home from 5-8 PM on Thursday, and at the church from 12-1 PM on Friday.  Suggested Memorial:  Insight Pregnancy Services.  You can sign the online guest book at www.kroeze-wolffis.com.  Arrangements are by Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home, Inc. of Fremont.
