Obituary

Marilyn Marie (Landheer) Weaver, age 85 of Fremont, passed away peacefully on Monday evening, May 10, 2021 at Spectrum Health Gerber Memorial in Fremont.  She was born on May 12, 1935 in Grant, Michigan to Henry & Marie (VanAssalt) Landheer.  Marilyn had been a lunch lady at Fremont High School, a receptionist at Pine Medical, and a bank teller at Old Kent Bank in Fremont.  She had been a volunteer with the HAGS at Gerber Hospital, and with Fremont Christian School Helping Hand & the Dutch Kitchen.  She had also been a teacher with the Friendship Group.  Marilyn was a member of First Christian Reformed Church in Fremont, where she had been a member of the church choir.  She also enjoyed playing cards & traveling, which included spending winters in Florida.  On May 15, 1959 she married Norman K. Weaver and he preceded her in death on December 16, 2020.  She was also preceded in death by her son-in-law Pastor Timothy Koster, by her sister Patti Landheer, and by her brother Louis Landheer.  Marilyn is survived by 4 children:  Mary Koster of Indiana, Mark (Mary) Weaver of Michigan, Jim Weaver of Florida, Daniel (Wendi) Weaver of Georgia; 10 grandchildren & 10 great grandchildren; sisters & brother:  Betty Tanis, Bill (Della) Landheer, Nancy (Paul) DeVries, Lois Landheer, & Susan Robinson.  The Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, May 14, 2021 at First Christian Reformed Church in Fremont with Rev. Drew Sweetman officiating.  Masks are required.  Livestream of the service is available to watch at https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCAtbQgZcAe0UTwRAOJ--WiA.  A recording of the service will also be available to watch on the funeral home website after the service.  Visitation will also be at the church from 12-1 PM on Friday.  Interment will be at Sherman Township Cemetery.  Suggested Memorials:  The Fremont Area Community Foundation for either the First Christian Reformed Church Endowment Fund, or for the Fremont Christian School Endowment Fund.  You can sign the online guest book at www.kroeze-wolffis.com.  Arrangements are by Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home, Inc. of Fremont.
