Mario Gary Padilla

Mario Gary Padilla, age 78 of Fremont, passed away on Monday afternoon, October 16, 2023 in Grand Rapids, Michigan.  He was born on October 12, 1945 in San Francisco, California to Rudolfo “Rudy” & Olga (Urbalejo) Padilla.  Mario was a US Army Veteran of the Vietnam Era.  He was retired from Sequa Machinery Corporation in Southern California, and he was a member of All Saints Catholic Church in Fremont.  Mario enjoyed his classic car, and woodworking.  On January 10, 1970 he married Lia Pols and she survives him along with 1 son, Eric (Amanda) Padilla & their children Mallory, Calvin, & Tyler; daughter-in-law, Velia & her daughter Angelica; 1 brother, Frank (Neeltje) Padilla; brother-in-law, George Martinez; sister-in-law, Annie Padilla; and by several nieces & nephews.  Mario was preceded in death by his son, Jason Padilla; sister, Rosemary Martinez; and by his brother, Rudy Padilla.  A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, November 3, 2023 at All Saints  Catholic Church in Fremont with Fr. Pete Schafer as Celebrant.  There will also be a time of visiting with the family at the church from 10:30-11 AM on Friday.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be given to the All Saints Catholic School.  You can sign the online guest book at www.kroeze-wolffis.com.  Arrangements are by Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home, Inc. of Fremont.
