Marlene Noble went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday afternoon, June 2, 2025. She witnessed her faith as a Sunday School Teacher and Youth Leader at Holton Methodist Church, and she was a member of numerous Bible studies.
Marlene was preceded in death by her loving husband Mickey Noble on September 2, 2024, and is survived by a wonderful friend and sister Sandra Kempf, and by her loving and caring sister-in-law Bonnie Jean (John) Monette.
Born on August 28, 1941 in Muskegon, Michigan she became the mother of three children: Michelle (Marty) Lalick of Grand Rapids, Mendy Boocher of Niles, and Kyle (Rachel) Noble of Boyne City; seven grandchildren: Marlena Lalick, Mitchell Lalick, Andrew Boocher, Amber Boocher, Jordan Noble, Taylor Noble, and Braydin Noble. She was also preceded in death by her parents, G. Howard and Hazel Richards; brothers, George and Wayne Richards; sister, Laveda Morse; and in-laws, Kenneth and Arlene Noble.
Jesus blessed her with many Christian friends who witnessed for Jesus and walked faithfully with Him.
Marlene attended Holton High School and was a graduate of Western Michigan University with a B.S. Degree in Elementary Education. She taught school in Otsego, Bloomingdale, Lake Odessa, and Holton from 1965-1975. She was the Holton Library Branch Manager from 1987-2004.
She enjoyed animals, flowers, and getting together with friends and family. She was an enthusiastic grandparent who followed her grandchildren’s participation in a variety of sports and activities.
Marlene and Mick moved from Holton to Muskegon Darley Village in 2023, where she added many new friends to her list.
A celebration of Marlene’s life will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, June 10, 2025 at Holton Methodist Church with Pastor Matt Stoll officiating. There will also be a time of visiting with the family at the church from 6:30-8:30 PM on Monday, June 9th, and from 10-11 AM on Tuesday, June 10th. Interment will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Holton.
