Martha "Mardi" (Coleson) Meyette

Martha “Mardi” Meyette, age 71 of Hesperia, went Home to be with the Lord on Thursday evening, February 1, 2024.  She was born on November 20, 1952 in Hart, Michigan to Albert & Maxine (Rickard) Coleson.  Mardi was a member of Dayton Center Wesleyan Church.  She had been a writer for the Times Indicator, she was a dairy herdsperson, and she had been an Oceana County Commissioner.  Mardi enjoyed gardening, and she loved her family and animals.  On December 26, 1971 she married Cliff Meyette and he survives her along with 2 sons, 1 daughter, and 7 grandchildren:  Les (Cherish) Meyette of Montague and children Christopher, Alexzander, & Rachel Meyette; Shane (Courtney Riley) Meyette of Fremont and children Skyler & Hailey Meyette; Kindra (Scott) Duerscherl of North Carolina and children Alivia & Ryan Garner.  Mardi is also survived by her brother, Dr. Joseph (Charlotte) Coleson of Kansas City, Missouri; sister, Carolyn Coleson of Montague; brothers-in-law:  Dwayne “Red” (Cheryl) Meyette of Fremont, Mickeal (Dawn) Meyette of Fremont; and by several nieces & nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert & Maxine Coleson; twin sister & her husband, Mary & Larry Wildfong; brother & his wife, Stephen & Evangeline Coleson; father-in-law & mother-in-law, Ernest & Esther (Essex) Meyette; and by her brother-in-law, Tom Meyette. The Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, February 6, 2024 at Dayton Center Wesleyan Church with her brother, Dr. Joseph Coleson, officiating.  Interment will be in Jewell Cemetery.  Visitation will also be at the church from 12-1 PM on Tuesday.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be given to Dayton Center Wesleyan Church.  You can sign the online guest book at www.kroeze-wolffis.com.  Arrangements are by Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home, Inc. of Fremont.
