Mary E. (Slocum) Balcom

Mary E. Balcom, age 80 of Hesperia, passed away on Monday afternoon, May 24, 2021 at SKLD Nursing Home in Muskegon.  She was born on January 21, 1941 in White Cloud, Michigan to Lloyd O. & Flora V. (Means) Slocum.  Mary loved children.  On October 28, 1978 she married Arthur Balcom and he preceded her in death on December 10, 2018.  She was also preceded in death by her parents; by her brothers, Lloyd E. Slocum & Elliot Slocum; and by her sister, Susan Jackson.  Mary is survived by her brother, Richard Slocum; by her sister, Sarah Fuller; by many nieces & nephews; and by her friend, Willis Trowbridge.  According to her wishes cremation has taken place, and a Private Service will be held.  Interment will be in East Hesperia Cemetery.  You can sign the online guest book at www.kroeze-wolffis.com.  Arrangements are by Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home, Inc. of Fremont.
