Mary Ann (Faurot) Howard

Mary Ann Howard, age 76 of Newaygo, was surrounded by her family and passed away on Friday evening, November 8, 2024.  She was born on September 9, 1948 in Grant, Michigan to George & Emma (Hallberg) Faurot.  Mary babysat many children over many years, and she also worked for Gingerly Clean for several years.  She loved her flowers and flower garden, camping, spoiling her dogs, and spending time with her grandkids and great-grandkids.  On September 2, 1966 she married Thomas Howard and he survives her along with 2 children:  Tommy Howard of Newaygo, Kim (Tim) Slachter of Grant; 5 grandchildren:  Jessica (Eric) Rietman, Morgan (Jeff) Grundel, Rachel (Jake) Pierce, Sammy (fiance Garrett Carr) Slachter, Dustin Slachter; 7 great-grandchildren:  Rutledge, Branson, Liam, Kaylix, Rowan, Riley, & Carley; 4 brothers:  Ron (Betty) Faurot, Dale Faurot, Rich Faurot, Irv (Trick) Faurot; 4 sisters-in-law:  Linda (Roger) Murray, Georgia Howard, Judy (Bruce) Hyma, Holly (Gordie) Brazington; and by many nieces & nephews.  Mary was preceded in death by her parents, George & Emma Faurot; sister, Nancy Wamser; sisters-in-law:  Sharon Faurot, Geraldine Faurot, Sharlein Faurot, & Irene Pummel; and by her father-in-law & mother-in-law, Bert & Maxine Howard.  According to Mary’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be a time of visiting with the family from 4-7 PM on Thursday, November 14, 2024 at Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home.  Suggested Memorial:  The Newaygo County Animal Shelter.  You can sign the online guest book at www.kroeze-wolffis.com.  Arrangements are by Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home, Inc. of Fremont.
