Norman K. Weaver, age 85 of Fremont, passed away peacefully on Wednesday afternoon, December 16, 2020 at the Newaygo Medical Care Facility in Fremont. He was born on March 20, 1935 in Fremont, Michigan to Herman & Sadie (Sall) Weaver. Norm was a US Army Veteran of the Korean War. He had worked for Fremont Lumber Company, and he had been part owner with Art Tibbe of Tibbe & Weaver Builders until his retirement. Norm was a member of First Christian Reformed Church in Fremont where he had served as a deacon, elder, and cadet leader. He also enjoyed fishing & bowling. On May 15, 1959 he married Marilyn Marie Landheer and she survives him along with 4 children: Mary Koster of Indiana, Mark (Mary) Weaver of Michigan, Jim Weaver of Florida, Daniel (Wendi) Weaver of Georgia; 10 grandchildren & 10 great grandchildren; and several nieces & nephews. Norm was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Pastor Timothy Koster; sister, Beatrice Schipper; and brothers, Harold & Leland Weaver. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a private family funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, December 19, 2020 at First Christian Reformed Church with Rev. Drew Sweetman officiating.
