Pamela S. Tibbe VanderBee was welcomed into Heaven by her Lord and Savior on December 24, 2021. She was preceded in death and is now reunited with her parents Louis and Helen Tibbe, two brothers, Steven and Dougie, and niece Erika.
Pam loved the Lord and shared His love unconditionally with everyone she met. Her belief that everyone was unique and special was exemplified through her career and volunteering. “Everyone I serve needs to feel valued, know they have been heard, respected, and uplifted”.
Pam was an elementary school teacher for 36 years, beginning her career at Fremont Public Schools. She then taught at Townline Elementary, in the Kentwood Public Schools District. After retirement, Pam was a volunteer at Byron Community Ministry, mentoring and tutoring in her school community, Growing Hope Globally, Cornerstone United Methodist Church, and University of Michigan Health West Hospital.
Pam will be remembered by her loved brothers and sister and their children: Tom (Sue) Tibbe and their children Karin (Jason) Semans, Jennifer (Mark) Beeler, Mary Jo (Mike) Tibbe; Gary (Deb) Tibbe and their children Dena (Erich) Merrill, Dale (Lauren) Tibbe; and Patti Tibbe; sister-in-law Cheri Tibbe; many great nieces and nephews, and many dear cousins. Pam had a very special circle of close friends that she treasured. She shared many memories with her college friend Carol Decker, special friends Lois and Gordie Nickels and family, Barb and Tom Cole and family, Judy and Gary Fetterly, Lydia and Lori Boerman, Townline School Star Friends, First Grade Friends, and her caring neighbors.
There will be a time of visiting with the family at Reeman Christian Reformed Church from 10-11 AM on Saturday, January 8, 2022, followed by a celebration of Pam’s life at 11:00 AM on Saturday with Pastor Nate Kooistra officiating. A luncheon and time to further visit with the family will immediately follow the celebration of her life at church. A livestream of the service will be available at the following link: https://youtu.be/mFYxPP7SS24.
