Rebecca Ann (Seyferth) Llewellyn, age 76, of Fremont, Michigan, passed away on May 17, 2026. Born in Muskegon on March 5, 1950, to James R. and Annajane Seyferth, Rebecca attended Mona Shores High School before graduating from Fremont High School and Alma College. On June 23, 1973, she married John Llewellyn, charting a life guided by faith, family, and service.
Rebecca served on the Gerber Hospital Fund Development Committee and the Bellwether Harbor board. She was also a dedicated volunteer for Helping Hands for Fremont Christian School and the assistant coach for the Fremont High School girls' tennis program. An avid equestrian, she was a board member and volunteer for the Newaygo County 4-H Special Horseback Riding Program. She also served as the District 2 Chair of the Michigan Republican Party, past chairlady of the Newaygo County GOP, and as a licensed real estate professional.
Rebecca’s impact was felt most in the thoughtful ways she cared for the people and world around her. She rescued plants from bulldozers and gave every horse, dog, and stray cat in her care a loving, forever home. She tirelessly supported her children’s interests in tennis, horseback riding, soccer, and music. Above all, she treasured time spent with her family and dear friends – preferably, with a cup of coffee and a homemade baked good.
She is survived by her husband, John Llewellyn; her children, Evan (Carrie) Llewellyn, Elizabeth (David) Maxwell, and Matt Llewellyn; her grandchildren, Carly, Aubrey, and Luke; and her brother, Eric (Loretta) Seyferth; and her nephew, Ryan (Emily) Seyferth and great-nieces, Hannah and Kate. She was preceded in death by her parents, James R. and Annajane Seyferth, and her sister, Amanda.
Visitation will be held at Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home on Thursday, May 28, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. A memorial service will take place at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 30, at the Llewellyn Home, 5588 W. 32nd Street, Fremont, with refreshments and fellowship to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Pioneer Resources (Designation: Pioneer Trails/Rebecca Llewellyn), at https://pioneerresources.org/give/.
