Rebecca “Becky” Lee Rottier, age 48 of Fremont, Michigan and formerly of Columbus, Ohio passed away from ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease) on Monday morning, July 22, 2024 at the Newaygo County Compassion Home in Fremont. She was born on February 3, 1976 in Fremont, Michigan. Becky graduated from Fremont High School in 1994, and then went to Ferris State University where she graduated in 1998 with a Bachelors Degree in Printing Management. She worked at the US Government Publishing Office in Columbus, Ohio as a contract specialist from 1998-2022. Becky is survived by her son, Luke (Berghan Dix) Miller of Columbus, Ohio; parents, Stan & Colleen Rottier of Fremont; grandmothers: Joan Obits of Fremont, Carolyn Meppelink of Grand Rapids; brothers & sisters: Kurt (Danielle) Rottier of Fremont, WI., Tricia (Nathan) Sparks of Fremont, Coy (Kelsey) Rottier of Caledonia, Nathan (Kerry) Zellars of Centerville, OH., Traci (Nathan) Ekkel of Newaygo; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, & cousins. She is also survived by her special friend, Gary Williams of South Solon, Ohio. Becky was preceded in death by her mother, Sharon Meppelink in 2007; and by her grandparents: Rev. John & Evelyn Meppelink, Joe & Helen Rottier. The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, July 29, 2024 at Reeman Christian Reformed Church with Pastors Les VanDyke and Nate Kooistra officiating. Livestream is available at Reeman CRC Special Life Moments. A luncheon will immediately follow the service at church, followed by interment at Maple Grove Cemetery in Fremont.
