Richard "Dick" Thompson Obituary

Mr. Richard “Dick” A. Thompson, age 72 of Hesperia, passed away on Sunday afternoon, May 31, 2020 at Mercy Hospital in Muskegon.  He was born on November 15, 1947 in Fremont, Michigan to Walter & Rosilea (Holcomb) Thompson.  Dick was a US Marine Veteran of the Vietnam Era.  He had been employed by C.W.C. Textron, and Misco.  Dick enjoyed gardening, and coaching rocket football in Hesperia.  He is survived by 4 children:  Willis Thompson, Tammy (George) Parmentier, Michael (Gina) Thompson, Polly (Mike) Mutchler; many grandchildren & great grandchildren; 1 brother, Harry (Onalee) Thompson; 3 sisters:  Bonnie (Jerry) Smith, LuAnn Thomas, Cindy (Mike) Gould; numerous nieces & nephews; and by his former wife, Susan.  Dick was preceded in death by his parents; by his brother Tom Thompson; and by his sister, Nancy Garza.  Cremation has taken place and a family celebration of his life will take place at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be given to the Wounded Warrior Project.  You can sign the online guest book at www.kroeze-wolffis.com.  Arrangements are by Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home, Inc. of Fremont.
