Richard "Rich" Fenton Griswold

Richard “Rich” Fenton Griswold, age 90 of Fremont, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday afternoon, November 11, 2023.  He was born on January 29, 1933 in Klondyke, Michigan to Earl “Fenton” & Lois “Lucille” (Millis) Griswold.  Rich was a US Army Veteran of the Korean War.  He had worked for Standard Lumber Company in Fremont, he had been a manager for Ithaca Lumber in Ithaca, Michigan, and in 1999 he retired from the maintenance department at the Newaygo Medical Care Facility in Fremont.  Rich was a handyman for many people, he had been a driver for the Amish for many years, and he was a member of First Baptist Church of Fremont.  He is survived by his wife Sharon “Sherri” who he married on May 28, 1994; children:  Cindy Stech, Beth (John) Webster, Gideon Griswold, Colleen (Aaron) Gleason; 15 grandchildren & 6 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers:  Stan (Rose) Griswold, Marcus (Mary Kay) Griswold; and by many nieces & nephews.  Rich was preceded in death by his parents.  The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 18, 2023 at First Baptist Church of Fremont with Dr. Steve Witter officiating.  Interment will be in Sherman Township Cemetery.  Visitation will also be at the church from 10-11 AM on Saturday.  Suggested Memorial:  The Springs Ministries Christian Camp & Year Round Retreat Center in Gladwin, Michigan.  You can sign the online guest book at www.kroeze-wolffis.com.  Arrangements are by Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home, Inc. of Fremont.
