Robert "Bob" Franklin Daniels

Robert “Bob” Franklin Daniels, of Hesperia, MI, passed away peacefully with his family at his side on May 2, 2020, at the age of 90.  Bob was born in Valparaiso, IN, to Earl and Zinnie Daniels.  After graduating in Valparaiso, Bob served in the United States Navy for several years and then became a Master Carpenter.  He married the love of his life, Charlotte, on February 11, 1951.  He made his career as a highly skilled finish carpenter and constructed many family homes. After seeing a piece of land for sale in the Chicago Tribune, Bob purchased 80 acres in Hesperia, MI. His family traveled from Valparaiso to Hesperia every weekend, where they fell in love with the great outdoors.  His children convinced him to move to Hesperia in 1968.  You would usually find Bob in his woodshop, in the woods cutting firewood, plowing roads, or mowing. His children would say there was never a dull moment. 

Bob is preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Zinnie, his siblings Jim (Ruth) Daniels, Earlene (Ted) Smith, Bill (Claudette) Daniels, and Don (Jeannie) Daniels.  He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Charlotte, and their 5 children, Alan (Lyn) Daniels, Kim (Bob) , Keith (David Gifford) Daniels, Randy (Kathy) Daniels, and Cindy (Amanda Currier) Cygeirt; his 5 grandchildren, Jolene (Brian) Paauwe, Daniel Cygeirt, Bradley (Rachel) Daniels, Kristy (Scott) Dodge, Maya (James) Fairfield, and 11 great grandchildren. 

Bob was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, and he will be greatly missed by his friends and family.

A private family memorial is planned.
