Robert “Bob” Alvin Schuitema, age 86 of Fremont, passed away on Sunday morning, December 18, 2022 at his home. He was born on February 8, 1936 in Belmont, Michigan to Dorris & Louella (Snyder) Schuitema. Bob had been employed by Lear Siegler for over 40 years until his retirement in 1998. He attended Holton United Methodist Church, and he enjoyed golfing & fishing. Bob was also a fan of John Deere. He is survived by his wife Jeanne, who he married on February 21, 1979; 3 sons: Tom Schuitema, Tim (Kim) Schuitema, Randy (Stacey) Vance; several grandchildren & great-grandchildren. Bob is also survived by his brother, Bernard (Marie) Schuitema; sister, Dorothy Lanting; sister-in-law, Cosy Schuitema; and by several nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers: Blaine, Milo, & Larry Schuitema; and by his sisters, Beatrice Winter & Margaret Kromberg. According to his wishes, cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be given to Holton United Methodist Church.
