Robert “Bob” G. Wildfong, age 80 of Fremont, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday morning, December 22, 2022. He was born on September 29, 1942 in Muskegon, Michigan to Samuel & Mabel (Dipple) Wildfong. Bob was a US Army Veteran. He had been employed at CWC Textron in Muskegon for 40 years, and retired in 2000 as the Foundry Superintendent. Bob was an avid golfer, and he enjoyed camping and spending winters in Arizona. On September 5, 1964 he married Judith “Judy” Mansfield, and she survives him along with their children: Julie (Dale) Berens, Robert “Rocky” (Jennifer) Wildfong; grandchildren: Lisa (Brandon) Robinson, Rachel (Wade) Paris, Megan (Tyler) Young, Kameron (Sara) Wildfong, Kenzi Wildfong, Madison Diamond, and Lauren, Myleigh, & Sydney Wright; 6 great-grandchildren; siblings: Terry (Pat) Wildfong, Eileen (Craig) Homan; brothers-in-law: Jerry Mansfield, & Jack (Marianne) Mansfield; sisters-in-law: Janet Wildfong, & Ginny Mansfield; and by many nieces & nephews. Bob was preceded in death by his parents; father-in-law & mother-in-law, Donn Mansfield & Pauline Grant; sister & brother-in-law, Karen & Bill Rumsey; brother & sister-in-law, Larry & Mary Wildfong; brother, Richard Wildfong; sister, Denise Wildfong; sister-in-law, Lydea Mansfield; and brother-in-law, James (Jim) Mansfield. There will be a time of visiting with the family at Fremont Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) from 11:00-12:00 Noon on Thursday, December 29, 2022. A Memorial Service will follow at 12:00 Noon with Rev. Steven Jumper officiating, followed by Military Honors at church and then a luncheon. A Private Family Graveside service will take place at Maple Grove Cemetery in Fremont following the luncheon. Suggested Memorial: St Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
