Rockford "Rockey" Lee Hurlbert

Rockford “Rockey” Lee Hurlbert, age 47 of Fremont, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday evening, March 28, 2024 at Corewell Health Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids.  He was born on November 14, 1976 in Muskegon, Michigan to Ronald Lee & Sharon Faye (McKenney) Hurlbert.  Rockey enjoyed fishing, crafting, and painting.  Most of all he enjoyed taking care of his family, and he was the main caregiver for his daughter Alexia “Lexi”.  On July 17, 2010 he married Shannon Graff and she survives him along with 2 children, Alexia “Lexi” and Luke.  He is also survived by his mother, Sharon Veen; 2 sisters: Renee Hurlbert, Brittany Hurlbert,  and nephews Troy Hurlbert & Timothy Langlois; father-in-law & mother-in-law, Tony & Laura Graff; 2 sisters-in-law: Tarah Boysen, Ashley (Andy) Koewers, niece Makayla Graff as well as other nieces & nephews; and by several aunts, uncles, & cousins.  Rockey was preceded in death by his father, Ronald Lee Hurlbert.  There will be a time of visiting with the family at Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home from 3-5 PM on Friday, April 5, 2024.  A celebration of Rockey's life will be held at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, a GoFundMe is being set up to help with expenses.  You can sign the online guest book at www.kroeze-wolffis.com.  Arrangements are by Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home, Inc. of Fremont.
