Rodney Jay Smith

Mr. Rodney Jay Smith, age 49 years of Hesperia, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday evening, February 27, 2018 at his home.  He was born on November 2, 1968 in Fremont, Michigan to Donald C. & Barbara Ellen (Lambers) Smith.  Rodney had been a diesel mechanic for Herin Brothers Trucking Company. He is survived by his children:  Justin (Heather) Smith, Amanda (Devon) Adair, Melissa Smith, Kaitlyn (Keith) Smith, Desiree Smith, Rodney Smith, Jr.; 5 grandchildren; sisters & brothers:  Carol (Dan) Deters, Nancy (David Lockhart) Smith, Robert Smith, Kathi Smith, & Jon Smith.  Rodney was preceded in death by his grandson Damien, and by his parents.  There will be no services at this time.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be given to the family c/o the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.  You can sign the online guest book at www.kroeze-wolffis.com.  Arrangements are by Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home, Inc. of Fremont.
