Roger A. Wyngarden

Mr. Roger A. Wyngarden, age 86 of Fremont, went to be with his Lord & Savior on Thursday evening, February 27, 2020.  He was born on August 15, 1933 in Ireton, Iowa to Gilbert & Hattie (Meeuwenberg) Wyngarden.  Roger was a US Army Veteran of the Korean War.  He had been President of Old State Bank in Fremont, where he had been employed for 28 years.  He also worked for the Schipper Insurance Team for 32 years.  Roger was a member of Resonate Church in Newaygo.  On December 6, 1986 he married Sharla A. Schipper and she survives him along with 4 daughters:  Karla (Mark) Radius of Rockford, MI., Valerie (Daniel) Teitsma of Grand Rapids, Muriel (Thomas) Richeal of Grand Rapids, Laurel (Stephen) Radius of Bradenton, Florida; 9 grandchildren & 1 great granddaughter.  Roger was preceded in death by 2 grandsons, David & Chip Radius.  A Celebration of Roger’s Life will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, March 3, 2020 at Resonate Church in Newaygo.  A luncheon with the family will immediately follow the service at church.  There will also be a time of visiting with the family at church from 10-11 AM on Tuesday.  Interment will be in Reeman Cemetery.  Suggested Memorials:  National MPS Society in memory of his grandsons David & Chip, or The Resonate Church Missions Fund.  You can sign the online guest book at www.kroeze-wolffis.com.  Arrangements are by Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home, Inc. of Fremont.
