Roscoe Eual Phipps

Roscoe Eual Phipps of Fremont Michigan passed away on November 23, 2023.  He was born on May 6, 1930 in Pharoah, Oklahoma to Nellie Luella and Eual Roscoe  Phipps.  While serving in the US Army from 1951 – 1955 he met the love of his life, Harriet Scheidel.  They enjoyed 70 years of marriage.  They raised eight children together in Sauk Village, Illinois before moving to Fremont, Michigan in 1986.  He was a devoted father to Roscoe Phipps, Jr of Hinesville, GA; Joseph(Lori) Phipps of The Villages, FL; Harriette(Steve) Loehmer of Grandview, TN; Ronald Phipps of Muskegon, MI; John(Betty) Phipps of Anchorage, AK; Louella(Clyde) Lorenz of White Cloud, MI; and Michael(Kathy) Phipps of Cedar Lake, IN.  Beloved grandfather to 23 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren, & 6 great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his beloved brother Joe, sisters Coarine & Paulene, and by his son Jeffrey.  He loved to hunt the local farmlands and tinker with old cars that he loved to buy, repair, and resell for extra money.  The Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at the Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home, 637 E. Main Street, Fremont, Michigan  49412.  Visitation will also be at the funeral home from 12-1 PM on Tuesday.  Interment will be at Hillcrest Cemetery in Weleetka, Oklahoma.  Suggested Memorial:  The Newaygo County Compassion Home.  You can sign the online guest book at www.kroeze-wolffis.com.  Arrangements are by Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home, Inc. of Fremont.
