Rose Marie (Bunce) Griswold

Rose Marie Griswold, age 91 of Fremont, was called Home to Heaven on Tuesday morning, November 26, 2024.  She was born on July 12, 1933 in Fremont, Michigan to George Adrian & Elna Nancy (Hendrickson) Bunce, Sr.  Rose retired from Gerber Products Company after 26 years of employment, and she was a member of First Baptist Church of Fremont.  She enjoyed making quilts for her children & grandchildren.  On May 15, 1954 Rose married Stanley R. Griswold, Sr. and he survives her along with 3 children:  Nancy (Joe) Dubois of Fremont, Stan (Monique) Griswold, Jr. of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Dave (Mary) Griswold of Newaygo; son-in-law, Scott (Laury) Grove of Otsego; 11 grandchildren & 19 great-grandchildren; brothers & sisters:  Eldora Gibbie, Frank (Shirley) Bunce, Eva (Jerry) Stevens, Tom (Diane) Bunce; sisters-in-law, Sharon Griswold & Mary Kay Griswold; and by many nieces & nephews.  Rose was preceded in death by her daughter, Linda Grove; and by her brothers:  Jimmy Bunce, Carl Bunce, & George Bunce, Jr.  A celebration of Rose’s life will be held at 12:00 Noon on Friday, November 29, 2024 at First Baptist Church of Fremont with Dr. Steve Witter officiating.  A live stream will be available at the First Baptist of Fremont, Michigan YouTube channel.  Interment will be made in Sherman Township Cemetery.  Visitation will also be at the church from 11-12 Noon on Friday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions for Rose can be made to the First Baptist Church of Fremont AWANA Program, 51 W.
