Roxanne "Rocky" Carol (Walters) Kennedy

The family of Roxanne “Rocky” Carol Kennedy, age 67 of Fremont, witnessed the Lord taking her Home on Monday afternoon, August 21, 2023.  She was born on September 17, 1955 in Fremont, Michigan to Clare & Patricia (Kubicek) Walters, Jr.  Roxanne attended Resonate Church Newaygo until she was no longer able to attend in person.  She enjoyed scrapbooking, kissing & hugging her family, and she loved her plants and gardening.  Roxanne loved Jesus and spending time in her Bible, and she continued to smile through all of her suffering.  On December 27, 2002 she married Bill Kennedy and he survives her along with their children:  Laurie & Tim Kennedy, Kathy & Tim Lenneman, Stacie Pike, Jodi Kennedy, Keith & Kelli Storms, Billy & Allison Kennedy, & Sheena Schwartz; 20 grandchildren & 18 great-grandchildren.  She is also survived by her sisters & brother:  Linda Deuling, Garth & Heather Walters, Penny & Scott Spoelstra, Jenny & Jerry Mitchell; many nieces & nephews; and by her emotional support dog, Freeway.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Clare & Patricia Walters; brother, Butch Walters; and by her sisters:  Diane McGraw & her husband Nick, Carol Ann Walters, & Brenda Hardy.  According to Roxanne’s wishes, cremation has taken place, and a celebration of her life will take place at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at Harvest Fremont with Pastor Dan Cook officiating.  There will also be a time of visiting with the family at the church from 1-2 PM on Wednesday.  Suggested Memorial:  St Jude Children’s Research Hospital.  You can sign the online guest book at www.kroeze-wolffis.com.  Arrangements are by Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home, Inc. of Fremont.
