Sally Lee Rodgers, age 86 of Fremont, passed away on Saturday, January 3, 2026. She was born on April 21, 1939 in Hastings, Michigan to Edwin & Elvira (Durkee) Sayles. Sally had worked for the VA in Battle Creek for 4 years as a Nurse Tech, and she had taught third grade at White Cloud Schools for 26 years until her retirement in 1995. She was a member of the Holton American Legion Post 397 Auxiliary, and she liked to donate to the Humane Society, St Labre Indian School, and to breast cancer awareness. Sally loved to read, do crossword puzzles, sit on her deck and look over Fremont Lake, camping, boating, and traveling with the grandkids. She was also an avid Michigan fan. On October 25, 1958 she married Robert Rodgers and he preceded her in death on September 18, 1991. She was also preceded in death by her parents, and by 1 sister. Sally is survived by her son, David Rodgers; 4 grandchildren: Michon (James) Blain, Matthew Rodgers, Melyssa (Jason Wilks) Rodgers, and Logan Rodgers; and by 6 great-grandchildren: Trey & Travis, Acelynn & Grayson, Rylee & Colton. According to her wishes, cremation has taken place and a luncheon & time to visit with the family will be held from 1-4 PM on Friday, January 16, 2026 at the Holton American Legion Post #397.
