Sandra "Sandy" Joyce (Schotanus) Neibarger

Sandra “Sandy” Joyce Neibarger, age 83 of Fremont, passed away on Thursday evening, August 8, 2024 at Green Acres Assisted Living in Fremont.  She was born on August 13, 1940 in Dorr, Michigan to Melbourne “Mel” & Hilda (Cole) Schotanus.  Sandy was a member of the Red Hat Society, and she loved to bowl, play cards, games, & bingo.  On August 16, 1958 she married LeRoy “Pete” Neibarger and he preceded her in death on September 1, 1978.  She was also preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Lee Smith; granddaughter, Nicole Neibarger; grandson, Matthew Hite; and great-granddaughter, Raelynn Crawford.  Sandy is survived by 3 daughters:  Cynthia “Cindy” (Ron) Maike, Nancy Pell, Joddie (Bruce) Crawford; 11 grandchildren & 19 great-grandchildren; sister, Joan (Don) Curtice; brother, Gene (Donna) Schotanus; and sister-in-law, Sharon (Stan) Tuckwell. The Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM on her birthday, Tuesday, August 13, 2024 at Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home with Pastor Les VanDyke officiating.  Interment will be in Garfield Township Cemetery.  Visitation will also be at the funeral home from 1-2 PM on Tuesday.  Suggested Memorials:  Alzheimer’s Association, or American Cancer Society.  You can sign the online guest book at www.kroeze-wolffis.com.  Arrangements are by Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home, Inc. of Fremont.
