Sheila Lavon Shealey, age 62 of Detroit, passed away on Sunday evening, December 8, 2024 at the Newaygo County Compassion Home in Fremont, Michigan. She was born on March 28, 1962 in Memphis, Tennessee to Charles & Phyllis (Wyckoff) Fields. Sheila enjoyed shopping and fashion. She also liked to cook, but could never learn how to bake a cake. Sheila is survived by her daughter, Jazzman Lovon (Gregg) Kaat of Holton, Michigan; a multitude of fur grandchildren, including some that cluck and go oink; sisters & brothers: Jacqueline Nicholson, MacArthur Taylor, Corey Fields, Charles Taylor, Charline Jones; and by many nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother Chinall Taylor, and by her sister Jean Fields. According to Sheila's wishes, cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held in Detroit.
