Sonya Marie (Taylor) DeCheney

Sonya Marie DeCheney, age 55 of Hesperia, passed away on Monday morning, November 27, 2023 at her home.  She was born on July 31, 1968 in Fremont, Michigan to Daniel R. & Mary Rose (Walker) Taylor.  Sonya was a homemaker and enjoyed taking care of her children and grandchildren.  She also enjoyed gardening and crocheting.  On August 10, 1991 she married Bradley S. DeCheney and he survives her along with 2 daughters:  Beth (Alan) Geno, April (Ron Holy) DeCheney; 6 grandchildren:  Karissa DeCheney, Tristin Holy, Atrayue DeCheney, Braxtin Geno, Bryce Holy, Willow DeCheney; sisters & brothers:  Nora Taylor, Daniel Taylor, Jr., Bernadette Taylor, Michael Jones, Thomas Jones.  Sonya is also survived by 1 half-sister, 2 step-brothers, and by many nieces & nephews.  She was preceded by her father & his wife, Daniel & Debra Taylor; and by her mother, Mary Rose Hickman.  A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, January 13, 2024 at Shoreline Church of Christ in Muskegon.
