Stephen James Bach

Stephen James Bach, age 58 of Fremont, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, May 12, 2025.  He was born on March 27, 1967 in Santa Monica, California to Stephen G. & Elizabeth (Ramseyer) Bach.  Stephen’s love of music came from the gift of a guitar from one of the nuns at his school, which grew into a lifetime filled with playing, writing, recording, & selling music.  He enjoyed playing his electric guitar “Big Red”, a gift from his mother, and was thankful that he could still play it even with his health conditions.  Music was important to Stephen until he married Lauren and had children, but above all his main passion was to know Jesus and play praise music, and even though his body failed his love for Jesus never waivered.  On July 1, 2006 he married Lauren Barnett and she survives him along with 2 children, Isaiah & Sarah Bach; father & step-mother, Stephen G. & Jenipher Bach of California; mother-in-law, Elizabeth “Jan” Barnett of Australia; brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law:  Alan (Kerry) Barnett, Elizabeth (Paul) Idstein, Richard Barnett, Melissa (Adam) Snowdon all of Australia.  He is also survived by many nieces & nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and other extended family.  Stephen was preceded in death by his mother, Elizabeth Ramseyer; his father-in-law, Maxwell Barnett and three pre-born children.  Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Stephen’s Life will be held at 4:00 PM on Wednesday, May 21, 2025 at Harvest Fremont with Pastor Dan Cook officiating.  Light refreshments and a time to visit with the family will immediately follow the service at church.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be given to the Bach family to help with the ongoing education of their children.  You can sign the online guest book at www.kroeze-wolffis.com.  Arrangements are by Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home, Inc. of Fremont.
