Steven Douglas Hartger

Steven Douglas Hartger, age 39 of Fremont, passed away on Thursday morning, June 1, 2023 at the Newaygo County Compassion Home in Fremont.  He was born on April 2, 1984 in Muskegon, Michigan. Steven graduated from Fremont High School, he enjoyed woodworking, and he made a career in the building industry.  He is survived by 2 sons, Drake & Jaxson Hartger of Fremont; his parents, Douglas & Kathy Hartger of Fremont; sister, Trisha Hartger of Muskegon; brother, Kent (Jessica) Hartger of Fremont; nieces & nephews:  Kayleigh Hartger, Taydra & Christopher Everding, Toren & Ryland Hartger; and great-niece, Oakley Hunter.  Steven was preceded in death by his grandparents: Stanley & Arleen Hartger, Gerrit "Pat" & Helene Meeuwenberg.  A Memorial Service will be held at a later date, and interment will be at Maple Grove Cemetery in Fremont.  Suggested Memorial:  The Newaygo County Compassion Home.  You can sign the online guest book at www.kroeze-wolffis.com.  Arrangements are by Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home, Inc. of Fremont.
