Susanne Marie (Jackson) DeLong

Susanne Marie (Jackson) DeLong, age 73 of Twin Lake, passed away early Monday morning, September 4, 2023 at the Poppen Hospice Residence in Muskegon.  She was born on November 12, 1949 in Muskegon, Michigan to Bernie & Marcella (Ross) Jackson.  Sue had been a bus driver at Holton Public Schools for many years, and she had worked for many years at Twin Lake Greenhouses.  She had also owned Fremont Floral from 2001 until 2011, when she was diagnosed with cancer.  On November 27, 1971 she married Dale DeLong, and he preceded her in death on January 3, 2010.  She was also preceded in death by her parents, Bernie & Marcella Jackson; step-father, Emery Bull; father-in-law & mother-in-law, Ray & Nora (Collins) DeLong; and by grandparents, aunts, uncles, & cousins.  Sue is survived by 3 children:  LD DeLong, Amy DeLong, Sarah DeLong-Hanson; 3 grandchildren:  Kaleb Houskamp, Dalyn Hanson, & Calie Hanson; great-grandchildren:  Wesley Houskamp & Lilah Houskamp; brothers:  Ken Jackson, Jim (Rhonda) Jackson; sisters-in-law:  Sandra Jimenez, Randi (Rich) Korc; and by many nieces, nephews, cousins, & friends.  According to her wishes cremation has taken place, and there will be a luncheon and time to visit with the family from 3-8 PM on Saturday, September 16, 2023 at Whitlow's Banquet Hall in Muskegon.  Suggested Memorials:  Poppen Hospice Residence, or St Jude Children’s Research Hospital.  You can sign the online guest book at www.kroeze-wolffis.com.  Arrangements are by Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home, Inc. of Fremont.
