Tamara "Tammy" Jo (Tanis) Lockwood

Tamara Jo “Tammy” Lockwood, age 69 of Fremont, passed away late Thursday evening, September 18, 2025 at the Cottages at Martin Lake in Fremont.  She was born on October 4, 1955 in Fremont, Michigan to Gilbert & Marjorie (Bergklint) Tanis, Jr.  Tammy had worked at and was the manager at Samuel’s Restaurant in Fremont, and she had been the secretary for Dan’s Auto Service in Fremont.  She was a member of the Fremont Moose Lodge #1555, and she enjoyed sewing, crafting, bowling, and going to the casino.  On June 21, 1974 she married Dan Lockwood and he survives her along with 2 children:  Kurt (Brenda) Lockwood, Kylene (Matt) Moschke; 4 grandchildren:  Thomas & Lucas Lockwood, Emma Jo & Hunter Moschke.  Tammy is also survived by her sisters-in-law:  Tracy Tanis, Diane (George) Mazurek, & Deena Wood.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Gilbert & Marjorie Tanis, Jr.; brother, Richard “Richie” Tanis; sister, Denise “Dee” Burkle; brother-in-law, Bruce Wood; and by Emmett the 22 year old goose.  According to her wishes, cremation has taken place, and a celebration of Tammy’s life and luncheon will be held from 12-2 PM on Saturday, September 27, 2025 at the Fremont Moose Lodge #1555.  Suggested Memorial:  Bellwether Harbor.  You can sign the online guest book at www.kroeze-wolffis.com.  Arrangements are by Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home, Inc. of Fremont.
