Tammy Lee (Hoppa) Hughes

Tammy Lee Hughes, age 60 of Fremont, passed away peacefully in her sleep at home on Tuesday, August 16, 2022.  She was born on November 11, 1961 in Fremont, Michigan to Lee & Lorna (VandenBerg) Hoppa.  Tammy had been an Administrative Assistant for many years at various businesses, and was currently working for Consumers Energy.  She enjoyed knitting & crocheting, and was an avid reader of books written by Steven King.  She was also a great caretaker.  On July 21, 1990 she married David Larry Hughes and he preceded her in death on July 7, 2016.  She was also preceded in death by her mother, Lorna Hoppa, on July 5, 2022.  Tammy is survived by her son, David Lee (Katie Gerhardt) Hughes; step-daughter, Angela Melton; grandsons:  David Micheal Hughes, Robert William Hughes, & Bobby Lee Chavis; father, Lee Hoppa; 2 brothers:  Gary (Beth) Hoppa, & Wes Hoppa; and by several nieces & nephews.  According to Tammy’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be a time to celebrate her life from 2-4 PM on Saturday, September 3, 2022 (NOTE CHANGE OF DATE) at the Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home in Fremont.  You can sign the online guest book at www.kroeze-wolffis.com.  Arrangements are by Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home, Inc. of Fremont.
