Mr. Theodore "Ted" Boutell, age 101 of Montague & formerly of Fremont, went to be with his Lord & Savior on Wednesday, February 13, 2019. He was born on April 11, 1917 in Ashland Township, Michigan to Glenn & Jennie (Bennett) Boutell. Ted was a US Navy Veteran of World War II, and he was retired from Dresser Crane & Hoist in Muskegon. He was a member of White Lake Wesleyan Church, and he was formerly a member of Dayton Center Wesleyan Church. Ted loved to golf & bowl. He married Doris Elaine Skinner in March of 1953 and she preceded him in death. They had 3 sons: Daniel & Cheryl Boutell, Greg & Karen Boutell, and Glenn Boutell (deceased); grandchildren: Ryan & Stacy Boutell, Julie & Brad Mulder, Kevin & Jacki Boutell, Krista & Jim Hams, Angela Miliusis, Brittney & Dan Samuels, Steven Boutell (deceased); and 10 great grandchildren. On January 26, 1973 Ted married Gwen Hubert and she preceded him in death on October 28, 2009. Ted is also survived by Gwen's children: Terri (Hubert) Boutell, Judy Hubert, Carol & Garry Lummen, Jo & Stephen Woriol, Mike & Chris Hubert; grandchildren: Jeremy & Beth Hubert, Kristie & David Ball, Faith & Dennis Morrison, Joshua & Holly Lummen, Jennilee & Eric Norris; and 16 great grandchildren. Ted was preceded in death by his brothers, Henry & Jack Boutell. The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at the Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home with Pastor Tom Coffey officiating. Visitation will be from 10-11 AM on Saturday.
