Tommy Lee Force, Sr., age 83 of Bridgeton Township, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday morning, September 1, 2025. He was born on July 3, 1942 in Grand Rapids, Michigan to Alfred Earl & Margaret Louise (Fox) Force. Tom was a Disabled US Army Veteran of the Vietnam Era, and he had been a self employed carpenter. He had also been the pastor of Trinity Baptist Church in Bridgeton Township, he enjoyed pastoral calling and visiting, and he was involved with the Newaygo County Prison Ministry. On December 16, 1965 he married LaVina M. Jones and she survives him along with 2 sons: Tommy Lee (Jessica) Force, Jr. of Spring Lake, Teddy J. (Tammy) Force of Hernando Beach, Florida; 8 grandchildren: Rena Baumgartner, Tony Ferguson, Ashley (Ryan) Linville, Brooke (Richard Kleszczynski) Force, Caitlyn (Logan) Cori, Daniel Force, Gabriel Force, Micheala (Jadon) Ashley; and 10 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers & sisters: Terry (Pattie) Force, Sherry Force, Mary (Larry) Tindell, Rodney Force, Rick (Karen) Force, Ron (Karen) Force, Kerry (Terrie) Force; and by many nieces & nephews. Tom was preceded in death by 1 son, Mark Ferguson; sisters, Peggy Leys & Shirley Lorenger; and by his brothers, Alfred Earl “Fred” Force & Randy Force. According to his wishes, cremation has taken place, and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
