Toni Renee (DeWitte) Miller

Toni Renee Miller, age 67 of Fremont, passed away on Wednesday evening, January 28, 2026 at her home surrounded by her family.  She was born on November 7, 1958 in Fremont, Michigan to William “Bill” & Virginia (Carrier) DeWitte.

Toni had been employed by Bill’s Shop-N-Save, Sears in Fremont, AT&T, Gerber Life, Fremont Public Schools, Newaygo County Service Employees Credit Union, and she had done in-home nursing care.  She was also a baptized member of Fremont Christian Church.  Toni was a farm girl at heart and enjoyed flowers, raising horses, chickens, and sheep.  Her biggest joy was raising lambs for 4-H youth to show at the Newaygo County Fair.

On February 23, 2000 she married Steven Miller and he survives her along with 2 sons, Brett (Tricia) Hile & Brian Hile; 2 grandchildren, Kenzie (Tyler) Silvernail & Dalton Luchies; 2 great-grandchildren, Declan & Ariyana; sisters & brothers:  Dianne (Craig) Ritsema, Gayle (David) Boyer, Shelley DeWitte, Su (Jack) Church, Bill (Dana) DeWitte, Jr.; brothers-in-law, Chris Miller & Brian (Stephanie) Miller; and by many nieces & nephews.  Toni was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Brooke Hile; niece, Carmen Boyer; father-in-law & mother-in-law, Kenneth & Arlene Miller; and by her brother-in-law, Roger Miller.

According to her wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be a time of visiting and luncheon from 1-3 PM on Friday, February 6, 2026 at Fremont Christian Church.  Interment will be at a later date at Maple Grove Cemetery in Fremont.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be given to Fremont Christian Church, or Fremont Public Schools FFA Chapter.  You can sign the online guest book at www.kroeze-wolffis.com.  Arrangements are by Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home, Inc. of Fremont.
