Virginia L. Bayne, age 100 of Muskegon & formerly of Fremont went to be with the Lord and her husband Donald on Saturday morning, February 7, 2026. She was born on December 3, 1925 in Muskegon, Michigan to Joseph Peter & Marguerite (Gotts) Baillargeon. Virginia and Don were founding members of Unity United Methodist Church in Muskegon where she sang in the choir and played the piano. She enjoyed crocheting and playing cards, but most of all she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother. On July 5, 1945 she married Donald E. Bayne, who was a US Air Force Veteran of World War II, and he preceded her in death on May 7, 2006. She was also preceded in death by her parents, by her sister Doris DeLong-Rinard, and by her brother Joseph Baillargeon. Virginia is survived by 4 daughters: Sharon Semelbauer, Kathy (William) LeTarte, Debra (Timothy) Wolfsen, Tammy Bayne; 7 grandchildren: Kelly (Eric) Iverson, Scott (Nory) Semelbauer, Shawn (Michelle) LeTarte, Aimee Alaniz, Travis (Michelle) Wolfsen, Jesse (Jessica) Wolfsen, and Adam Wolfsen; 15 great-grandchildren: Tessa (Rob) Keller, Jordan & Hunter Barnes, Robbie, Sophia, & Andrea Semelbauer, Michael (Hannah) LeTarte, Mia Alaniz, Wyatt, Mavis, Garrett, Brock, Bane, Emmett, & Clara Wolfsen; 1 great-great grandson, Ignatius LeTarte; 1 sister-in-law, Carol VonIns; and by many nieces & nephews. According to her wishes, cremation has taken place and a Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, May 11, 2026 at Laketon Township Cemetery.
