Wayne M. Gronso

Wayne M. Gronso, age 72 of McMillan, Michigan, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, March 29, 2021.  He was born on September 14, 1948 in Fremont, Michigan to Myrle & Margaret (Dickinson) Gronso.  Wayne was a US Army Veteran of the Vietnam Era, and he had been employed by Howmet for 39 years until his retirement.  He was also a member of Northstar Baptist Church in McMillan, Michigan.  On July 24, 1971 he married Sandy Ekkel and she survives him along with 3 children:  Tracy (Anthony) Harrison, Kevin (Angela) Gronso, Jason (fiancée Jennifer) Gronso, all of Fremont; 7 grandchildren:  Connor, Brandon, Cody, Grace, Alexander, Emma, & Samantha; 2 sisters:  Frances Lensky, Nancy (Lance) Ashbaugh; brother-in-law, Bob (Wendy) Ekkel; and sisters-in-law:  Charleen Dunn, Barb (Jim) Gearhart, Connie (Henry) Hartger, & Peggy Phillips.  Wayne was preceded in death by his parents; by his daughter, Lisa Marie Deur on December 12, 2020; and by his brother-in-law, Larry Ekkel.  A Private Graveside Service will be held at Maple Grove Cemetery in Fremont with Pastor Tom Ekkel officiating.  Suggested Memorial:  Northstar Baptist Church.  You can sign the online guest book at www.kroeze-wolffis.com.  Arrangements are by Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home, Inc. of Fremont.
