William "Bill" H. Darling, Sr.

William “Bill” H. Darling, Sr., age 75 of Grand Rapids, went to Heaven to be with his wife of 49 years, Vi Ann.  He was born on December 28, 1948 in Grand Rapids, Michigan to Ivan & Irma (Spencer) Darling.  Bill had been employed for 45 plus years at J & L Roofing in Grand Rapids.  He dedicated his life to his family, and is survived by 3 children:  Sheila (George) Darling, Shelly (Darnell) Darling, William “Bill” (Cherokee) Darling, Jr.; 7 grandchildren & 6 great-grandchildren; brother, Terry & Robin Darling; sisters:  Ruth & Barry Hoekstra, Claudia Holton; sisters-in-law & brothers-in-law:  Donna & Doug, Jimmy & Kim, Donald, and Mike.  Bill has many nieces & nephews, including a very special nephew Michael Darling.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Vi Ann; parents, Ivan & Irma Darling; father-in-law & mother-in-law, Donald & Jeannette David; brothers:  Ivan, Michael, & Gary; sister, Linda; brother-in-law, Kenny; and sister-in-law, Rosemary.  The Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, June 22, 2024 at Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home.  Visitation will also be on Saturday from 12-1 PM.  Interment will be in Sherman Township Cemetery.  You can sign the online guest book at www.kroeze-wolffis.com.  Arrangements are by Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home, Inc. of Fremont.
