William "Bill" Charles Martin

William “Bill” Charles Martin, age 81 of Fremont, passed away on Saturday morning, May 11, 2024 at the Cottages at Martin Lake near Fremont.  He was born on July 11, 1942 in White Cloud, Michigan to Joseph & Delila (Hevel) Martin.  Bill retired from Howmet after 40 years of employment.  He liked country music, hunting, golfing, reading, bird watching, woodworking, & watching westerns, but most of all he enjoyed family time.  Bill had been a member of the Fremont Moose Lodge #1555.  On September 4, 1964 he married Linda Jane Rottman and she survives him along with 3 daughters:  Laura Sue Martin, Amy Lynn Martin, & Mackenzie Rae (Daniel) Piotrowski.  He is also survived by his sisters, Ida Russell & Sara Wood; by his brother, Robert (Kathy) Martin; and by many nieces & nephews.  Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph & Delila Martin; and by his brothers & sister:  Harvey Martin, Virginia Purcey, Arthur Martin, & James Martin.  Cremation has taken place, and a celebration of Bill's life will be held from 3-5 P.M. on Sunday, June 30, 2024 at the Fremont Moose Lodge.
