William "Bill" D. Nixon

Mr. William D. “Bill” Nixon, age 75 years of Fremont, passed away on Sunday evening, September 4, 2022 at Regency at Fremont. He was born on September 8, 1946 in Muskegon, Michigan to E. William and Lenora (Woodring) Nixon.  Bill was a US Navy Veteran of the Vietnam Era.  He had been employed by Eagle Ottawa Leather Company in Grand Haven for over 30 years until his retirement.  Bill was a Detroit Tigers, Detroit Lions, Detroit Red Wings, and MSU Spartans fan, and he also enjoyed going to sporting events of his nieces and nephews.  He is survived by 3 sisters:  Carole (Jim) Cramer, Kathy (Jim) Teusink, Lori (Steve) Kirchenbauer; and by many nieces and nephews.  Bill was preceded in death by his parents.  According to his wishes, cremation has taken place, and a Private Graveside Service with Military Honors will be held for the family at East Hesperia Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be given to the Alzheimer’s Association.  You can sign the online guest book at www.kroeze-wolffis.com.  Arrangements are by Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home, Inc. of Fremont.
