William “Bill” James Ruzinsky, age 94 of Grant, went Home to be with the Lord Jesus on Friday morning, February 28, 2025. Bill loved fixing and building. He travelled the world as a service man for overhead crane companies. Bill was among the last World War II era veterans. And most of all, Dad was an accomplished “hugger” and story teller. He was given a calling to love and hug those that he met.
He was born on June 4, 1930 in Muskegon, Michigan John and Stella (Pochyla) Ruzinsky. On November 7, 1953 He married Geraldine Gilbert. He is survived by 3 children: William James & Christine Ruzinsky, Jr. of Loveland, Colorado, Julia Ann Gawron of Newaygo, Pastors Paul & Colleen Ruzinsky of Grant; 6 grandchildren: Luke Ruzinsky, Ben Ruzinsky, Erin (Alex) Gawron-Hyla, Gregory (Tangela) Gawron, Ernestina “Annie” (Ben) Davis, Duane Ruzinsky; 5 great-grandchildren: Aila, Owen, Nolana, Noah, & Evolette; and 1 sister, Lorreta. Bill was preceded in death by his brother John.
The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 22, 2025 at Resonate Church in Newaygo with his son, Pastor Paul Ruzinsky, officiating. Resonate Church is located at 302 E 68th St, Newaygo, MI 49337. Visitation will also be at the church from 10:00 – 11:00 AM on Saturday. Interment will be in Bridgeton Township Cemetery.
