William (Bill) Sorensen, Sr.

William (Bill) Sorensen Sr. joined his Lord and Savior and his daughter Ann Marie in heaven the evening of September 27th, 2022. Bill was born January 9th,1938 in Muskegon Heights, MI to Soren K. Sorensen and Hilda (VanderKooi) Sorensen. He was the youngest of 5 children and preceded in death by his parents and siblings. He joined the US Air Force in 1956 and served till 1960 as a mechanic traveling all around the world. Bill married Patricia Moran May 19th,1962 and have been married over 60 years. He worked for 30 years at the Muskegon Piston Ring before retiring. He enjoyed farming as well for over 33 years.

He was a good and caring husband to Patricia and a wonderful and proud father to his son Bill (Marcia) Sorensen Jr, daughter Patty (Hunter) Keimel and daughter Ann Marie Sorensen. He was a proud grandpa to Camron (Brad) Hampshire, Chelsea (Steve) Johnson, Andrew (Coby) Sorensen and Cara (Phillip) Choat. He was Great Grandpa to Aiden, Gavin, Bryce, Peyton, Quinn, Zane, Winter, Mason and Hudson. He was greatly loved and will be sadly missed by his family.

Bill enjoyed working around his home, deer hunting, fishing, and playing cards. He was very meticulous in all he did and could fix anything he put his mind to. Bill was always willing to help someone out when they needed it.
