Ron and Marv,
I drove up to Fremont this morning to see Aunt Kay and was saddened to learn that she had passed away. I am very sorry for your loss. Even though I did not see her often, she was often in my thoughts and prayers. I wish I had known of her funeral.

I was so saddened to read of Kay's passing..... I have many memories of her as my "Vacation Bible School" instructor and later as a neighbor in Country View estates. I will always remember her when I look at the many plants in my yard that she gave me when I first moved into the park.... My prayers go out to each of her family members.....

MANY years ago as a new bride, my mother-in-law gave me a recipe for Blueberry Crunch - which she got from Kay Deur. I make it every summer during blueberry season - one of our family favorites. She will always be remembered in our family.

I remember fun times at the Deur home. Kay was a great friend to my mother.

Aunt Kay taught me when I was a young girl how to 'go above and beyond' the call of duty when she hired me to clean her house. With her guidance I learned the value of doing 'the and then some'. This was a great life lesson for me.
When we visited her she always had some delicious homemade cookies and a cup of coffee to share with us. She was blessed with a sharp mind right to the end.
We send our condolences to the family as we are in Phoenix.

She taught us all a lot of things - unfortunately not all of them stuck with us too well - the family gathered last night and raised a toast in her honor.

Aunt Kay was always special to us. When I visited she spoke so fondly of her sons and grandchildren, she had a sharp mind even into her 90's. We send our condolences, so sorry we cannot be there for the funeral. Would love to see the family but we are in Florida. We will remember you in our prayers, she was an exceptional lady- loved her applesauce....

Thanks for the kind thoughts and words - the last of Boes/Deur siblings - that makes our generation the olest one living - kind of a frightening thought!

I grew up in Trinity CRC and was involved with the McCallum Chapel that Mr and Mrs Deur were involved with. She was a resident at The Facility when my Dad was there. She always stopped to talk to me and never lost that beautiful smile that I remember. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family during tbis difficult time.
