To all of Ethel's family, and especially my dear friend Betty, I extend my deepest sympathy. Losing a parent is one of the hardest things we go through. I am so very glad we went to see her on our recent trip up to visit Betty. She was so excited in her new apartment. Ethel was a lovely lady, beautiful of face and heart, and I will never forget her. May all the wonderful memories she left here be a comfort to her children, grandchildren and all of us who loved her.

My heart breaks that grandma won't be here anymore with us, but I am so glad she lived a long healthy happy life. I have many memories of being young and spending time with them. When I was little, she and I had vanilla ice cream with butterscotch chips in it together. Seems like an ordinary memory, but she made me feel special because we sat together in her kitchen, just the two of us and laughed and made memories. I learned to swim on the lake they lived on, I played with my cousins there, had family dinners there and she was a great cook. I went on vacations with them. I remember my cousin Penny and I spending a whole week at their place up by Mackinaw city. Grandma always made me feel special. I will miss her.....but keeping my memories until we meet again.
