Janet DeVisser

Miss Janet DeVisser, age 84 years of Fremont, went to be with her Lord & Savior on Sunday evening, July 3, 2016 from the Newaygo Medical Care Facility in Fremont.  She was born on July 22, 1931 in Lester, Iowa to Henry & Agnes (VanderWeele) DeVisser.  Janet was a member of First Christian Reformed Church in Fremont.  She had also been the caretaker for 29 years of her sister, May Green, who was the longest living quadriplegic polio survivor.  Janet is survived by her son, Sherwood (Anita) DeVisser of Hartland, MI.; 2 grandchildren:  LtJG Grant DeVisser, Andrea (Mark) DeVisser-Humphreys; 2 sisters:  her twin Nellie Cole of Newaygo, Lillian (Glen) Kidner of Carson, Washington; sister-in-law, Betty DeVisser of Fremont; and by her special friends & guardians, Gil & Dawn Taylor of Fremont.  Janet was preceded in death by her parents; by her brothers:  Henry DeVisser, Jr., & Gordon DeVisser; and by her sisters:  Lorraine DeVisser & May Green.  The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at First Christian Reformed Church in Fremont (721 Hillcrest Drive) with Pastor Bob Pohler & Sherwood DeVisser officiating.  Interment will be in Sherman Township Cemetery.  Visitation will also be at the church from 10-11 AM on Wednesday.  Suggested Memorial:  The Newaygo Medical Care Facility Endowment Fund at the Fremont Area Community Foundation.  You can sign the online guest book at www.kroeze-wolffis.com.  Arrangements are by Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home, Inc. of Fremont.
